VLC Player 2.0 “TwoFlower” is the latest version released by VideoLAN Organization. This video player is the best in handling most of the media formats and is an open source project 🙂 VLC is known to play anything that you throw at it, kitchen sink included. VLC 2.0 is the first landmark update since its first official release in June 2009. There are lots and lots of changes in the VLC 2.0 version.
The look and feel has become more impressive. It can now support the Blu-ray playback . You can observe a lot of other additional features in the Mac version of VLC 2.0.

Apart from these above formats, VLC 2.0 can support a lot of additional Input features, Subtitle/Tag formats, A/V outputs, A/V filters, Interfaces and other additional formats. It’s a huge step in the right direction though, and the main reason that it’s not fully supported just yet is because of the amount of work that has gone into the core rendering engines. Video outputs have been added, and older ones rewritten, now supporting better GPU optimisation and multi-threaded decoding for HD content.
In one simple world, VLC 2.0 is a universal player which can play anything. VLC 2.0 is more stable and will crash very less if you compare it with the previous versions.
