I always wondered how gmail.com would be redirected to mail.google.com/mail . And it was exiting to hunt for more google subdomains – images.google.com , maps.google.com , translate.google.com … This list will go on . And I am not gonna write all the 1402 subdomains google possess ! Now how do you find how many subdomains a domain has ?
Guessing could take aeons and in my opinion there is no such tool free tool as compete site which actually digs out everything form a domain and lists down everything about that . You could have seen the Alexa traffic page but it only displays how many estimated percent of traffic goes to that subdomain . Which if there’s no traffic, that subdomain wont be no visible !
This question has been asked in every forum and yahoo answers but I don’t think there are such kind of tools . I just happened to check my blog’s compete stats . Compete is good Alexa alternative which offers more accurate and most minor statistical traffic , clicks , referrers everything report which can help a lot in SEO .
So what you do is just insert any website you want to check the subdomains for . And hit compare .
You will see 3 tabs – site statistic , audience profiles and subdomains
There ! You job is done . Simply go to SubDomains tab and glare at the various subdomains .

Compete.com is a premium site where you have to pay monthly for getting detailed website analyticss however there’s also a free registration option at the bottom in small font where you can see limited information .
This method is the best of even more simpler just replace the GOOGLE link
